Facilities 101 is held on the Cornell campus each spring. This 1-day course provides an in-depth introduction to CCMR's Shared Experimental Facilities (laboratories, equipment, and staff).

Managers and engineers looking to better understand materials in their products, and who might benefit from Cornell's capabilities in materials analysis, processing, and problem-solving

Who should attend:

This 1-day course provides an in-depth introduction to CCMR's Shared Experimental Facilities, and opportunities to meet one on one with specific managers of these facilities.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Lally School of Management & Technology, Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship, is proud to sponsor the latest installment in a series of seminars featuring Dr. Norton P. Peet, international Pharmaceutical R&D Consultant.  Dr. Peet will discuss (1) the major challenges faced by pharmaceutical companies, particularly large pharma; (2) approaches to these challenges that are being taken and that should be taken; (3) the effect of the flat, global world of science; and (4) a scorecard on how the industry is faring with these challenges as 2008 begins.

Registration begins at 5:15 p.m. Networking reception follows the program. Parking is available after 5:00 p.m. in the parking lot behind Academy Hall; entrance on College Avenue.

The artwork features Iowa landscapes, Green Lakes, seascapes, farmlands, and local and foreign nature scenes; photographs of Acadia’s coastline, Sterling Nature Center, Road Hollow Waterfall, and the Canadian Rockies. Plus moods and feelings are reflected in some of the photographs. The porcelain and ceramic pieces will compliment the variety of media.
